Arrival at Shandur is expected by afternoon or evening depending on road conditions and travel pace. Overnight arrangements can be made in camps or other available seasonal accommodation near the festival area.

Day 2: Shandur Polo Festival Experience

The second day is dedicated to the annual Shandur Polo Festival. Visitors can experience the famous freestyle polo matches between teams from Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, along with the broader festival atmosphere shaped by local culture, mountain scenery, and seasonal gathering.

Time is available to enjoy the event surroundings, photography opportunities, and the unique setting of one of the world’s highest polo grounds.

Day 3: Shandur – Phandar – Gilgit Return

After breakfast, the return journey to Gilgit begins along the same route. Stops can be made around Phandar and Ghizer for rest, scenery, and photography before continuing onward to Gilgit.

Arrival in Gilgit is expected by evening, depending on weather, road conditions, and the number of sightseeing stops along the route.

Seasonal note: This is a once-a-year festival tour, usually arranged around the annual Shandur Polo Festival dates in summer. Early booking is strongly recommended due to limited accommodation, seasonal road conditions, and high demand during the event period.
