After crossing the pass, the road descends gradually toward Chitral. Arrival is expected by evening, depending on road and weather conditions. Overnight stay in Chitral.
After breakfast, drive from Chitral toward Bumburet Valley, one of the most well-known Kalash valleys. The route passes through a distinct cultural landscape shaped by narrow valleys, traditional wooden houses, and the natural surroundings of the region.
On arrival, spend time exploring the village environment, local architecture, and the visible cultural character of the Kalash community. Overnight stay in Bumburet.
This day is reserved for deeper exploration of the Kalash region. Depending on road access and available time, the journey may include Rumbur Valley or additional areas within Bumburet.
The day allows for walking, photography, and appreciation of the cultural and natural setting. If travel coincides with a local seasonal celebration, limited observation may be possible depending on community conditions and accessibility.
After breakfast, begin the return journey toward Gilgit via Chitral and the same route across Shandur Pass. Stops can be made along Phandar and surrounding scenic points for short breaks and photography.
Arrival in Gilgit is expected by late evening, depending on travel pace and road conditions.
